Job Summary: The Part-Time FD Marketing will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of our marketing agency's operations and providing strategic guidance. This position requires a strong background in financial management, coupled with a deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, optimize marketing investments, and ensure profitability.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for marketing projects and campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers to track and control costs, ensuring adherence to budgets.
- Conduct financial risk assessments and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with the executive team to develop marketing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Evaluate market trends, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize marketing investments and improve ROI.
- Support the development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present financial reports, including revenue analysis, expenses, and profitability by project or client.
- Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities and campaigns.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement within the marketing department.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align financial objectives with marketing goals.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and external partners to negotiate contracts, manage financial agreements, and ensure profitability.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations to executive management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Financial Director, ideally within a similar role in the marketing or advertising industry.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- In-depth understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and metrics.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and MS Office suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Job Benefits
Working Hours and Compensation:
- This position is part-time, being two days per week.
- Working hours and schedule can be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process.
- Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
