Job Summary: The Part-Time FD Marketing will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial aspects of our marketing agency's operations and providing strategic guidance. This position requires a strong background in financial management, coupled with a deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the executive team to drive financial performance, optimize marketing investments, and ensure profitability.


Responsibilities

  1. Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to enhance profitability.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track and control costs, ensuring adherence to budgets.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and implement appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
  1. Strategic Planning:
  • Work closely with the executive team to develop marketing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize marketing investments and improve ROI.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing plans and campaigns.
  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including revenue analysis, expenses, and profitability by project or client.
  • Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities and campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvement within the marketing department.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align financial objectives with marketing goals.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and external partners to negotiate contracts, manage financial agreements, and ensure profitability.
  • Communicate financial insights and recommendations to executive management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Director, ideally within a similar role in the marketing or advertising industry.
  • Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and metrics.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and MS Office suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


Job Benefits

  • This position is part-time, being two days per week.
  • Working hours and schedule can be discussed and agreed upon during the interview process.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
