Skills

-Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, sales or a related field

1+ years experience in business development

-Excellent communication and relationship-building/networking skills

-Excellent organizational skills

-Strong written, oral, and presentation skills

-Proven ability to develop and maintain business plans

-Strong sales and marketing skills

-Ability to analyze client requirements and establish new relationships

-Ability to develop sales forecasts and set realistic goals

-Proven sales/business development experience and a successful track record closing new accounts and driving revenue

-Ability to analyze business data and identify potential opportunities

Responsibilities

-Build and maintain new client relationships, including cold calling, telemarketing, and client visits

-Meet or exceed monthly sales goals, and qualify opportunities through in-person client visits and reports

-Establish and maintain an effective presence within the community, including public speaking, networking, and community involvement

-Research and compile client data for cross-selling other products and services, and developing proposals

-Maintain relationships with companies in the community

-Oversee project management, including on-site staff

-Complete periodic client and company audits

-Maintain accurate client and company records

-Develop and manage new internal business processes

-Attend weekly sales meetings with Account Executives, including discussion of sales results, training, and client visits

-Develop, implement, and maintain lead generation strategies, including database management, lead follow-up, and the creation of collateral and presentations

-Develop internal resources for new accounts

-Promote new business development opportunities through direct client outreach and prospecting

-Research and contact new potential clients to maximize our awareness, generate interest, and obtain commitments for new business opportunities

-Oversee all customer-related matters, including answering questions, negotiating contracts, and resolving disputes

-Develop and maintain a positive and professional image for our company

-Conduct market research, as well as market research reports, for executives

-Research new technologies

-Conduct competitive analysis

-Understand and articulate technical requirements

-Develop and maintain a professional network

-Solicit new business, including cold calling, cold emailing, networking, and referrals, and maintain relationships with current clients

-Create and maintain effective sales operations processes, including creating and maintaining a sales pipeline, identifying sales opportunities, and tracking sales activity

-Complete market research, including client profiles, competitive positioning, and industry trends

-Manage clients from end-to-end, including client onboarding, SLAs, contract review, invoicing, and expenses

-Conduct regular meetings with clients to update them on market developments

-Identify business opportunities and formulate strategy and action plans to pursue them

-Provide clients with weekly and monthly work status and reports

-Ensure all sales quotas are met

-Qualify prospective clients

-Assist in receiving leads

-Develop and execute strategies to raise brand awareness

-Identify and document all customer problems and issues, and suggest solutions

Objectives

-Research, identify, and contact new business opportunities

-Develop and maintain relationships with current customers

-Maintain awareness of competition and industry trends

-Optimize cash flow by forecasting revenue

-Implement new business tracking strategies

-Develop and maintain a business plan for the company

-Manage all administrative functions, including accounting, documents, contracts, and correspondence

-Maintain accurate records and reports for financial planning and analysis

-Coordinate marketing efforts, including advertising, brochures, and newsletters

-Initiate and implement new product development

-Develop and maintain quality standards

-Maintain and update databases

-Oversee the company’s advertising, public relations, and promotional activities

-Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, companies, and associations
